In this arts-integrated lesson, students will learn about the abstract art of Wassily Kandinsky while reinforcing the math concepts of types of lines and angles. Students will first learn about the transformation of Kandinsky’s work throughout his career and how it evolved into the geometric abstract style that he is well known for. Next, after learning essential math vocabulary terms relating to types of lines and angles we will identify them in his work. Finally, we will play a fun game that will reinforce the vocabulary, guide the student work, and serve as an assessment tool!
