learning at center stage

Each year, the Arts Center welcomes schools from throughout the Lowcountry to experience a variety of performing and visual arts.

As part of our mission for education and outreach, the Arts Center brings schools for live professional performances that include world-class dance companies, special daytime showings of our own theatrical productions, and youth-oriented theater brought in specifically for children.

Many of our field trips feature talk-backs following the performance with play/musical cast members or dancers who talk about the show and their own personal journeys in the arts. Engagement is exciting to witness as youth of all ages ask questions of these performers who bring a bit of the big, wide world right to them!

Payment is due in full 4 weeks before the performance date, either by check payable to the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina or via credit card.

One (1) adult will be admitted with every 20 paying students for 1st grade and up, and with every 10 paying students for PreK-K. Additional chaperons are welcome and will be charged the student rate.

For the 4 weeks prior to the performance, seats are reserved only when a payment is made and reservations are based on availability. Study Guide (if available) and pre-performance materials will be emailed within 4 weeks of the performance, or at the time of your payment.

Please notify us in advance if you have students requiring wheelchair seating or other special needs.
